Mercantile Land utilizes a quantitative research model, backed by investment and development expertise to advise clients over the course of the investment cycle. The firm maintains a proprietary database tracking parcels, listings, transactions, and demographics across the region, paired with modern analytical tools, including AI, to evaluate markets. Every listing, lease, and portfolio recommendation is grounded in that research.
Mercantile represents buyers and sellers across the region, and manages retail and office properties for their owners.

Preston Lyon — Broker & Managing Partner

Preston Lyon is the broker and managing partner of Mercantile Land & Services. His path to real estate ran through corporate finance: he spent his early career at Amazon Web Services, where he managed the billion-dollar capital budget for S3, supported private cloud storage deals, and helped design financial systems.
He went on to earn a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Washington, with a dual focus in Investment and Development, adding to a undergraduate Finance degree with an accounting concentration from The College of William & Mary's Mason School of Business. He began his brokerage career with the Johnson Group in Reno before founding Mercantile Land, where today he leads Mercantile Land’s brokerage and property management practice and oversees its investment portfolio.
